    6 best coffee shops in Rio

    Who doesn`t love a warm cup of coffee? Almost everyone, right? Autumn is here, winter is knocking on the door and nothing is more fun than finding places to have a coffee or tea.

    The truth is that the coffee houses are more than hot drinks and cake. Today, you can find a lot of snacks and even lunch. Whether inside a bookstore or with little tables on the sidewalk, I`m sure you`ll find one to call yours!

    1.Empório Jardim

    It’s my favorite coffee house in town! With a huge menu, the breakfast is served all day. I have already posted about it here on the blog. Don`t forget to order the gruyere cheese bread, It`s amazing!

    2.Bazzar Café (Livraria da travessa)

    The Bazzar Café is inside the Travessa Bookstore in Leblon Shopping. The quality of the products is the highlight. Everything is a delight and super well done. The menu goes from scrambled eggs to traditional slices of bread. Sandwiches and lunch are also served for those who want something more elaborate. Worth it!

    3.Novo Café

    Going to the western zone of the city we have the Novo Café that is in the Barra da Tijuca. The atmosphere is so cute and the decor has light pink and mint green tones.

    There, they serve a lot of stuff: tapioca, egg clams, cheese bread, açaí bowl and so on. A highlight for the american coffee and the carrot cake with chocolate!

    4.Jarbô

    Jarbo is like an oasis, you know? Situated in an old house inside the Botanical Garden, the decor is beautiful and, on sunny days, has outdoor tables to enjoy the sun.

    The bread is a delight and, to top it off, eggs, fruit, yogurt, jellies and so on. The place is also a brasserie, meaning the lunch is welcome!

    5.Café Hum

    This is a coffee house I’ve known for a long time! Café Hum is that place that I always good. Everything there is tasty, fresh and with good price.

    They also serve a few snacks and, on cold days, hot soups. The pumpkin one is my favorite.

    The pies are delicious and the pieces are very generous; great for sharing. Fit so well with a cup of coffee. Love it!

    6.Sofá Café

    The Sofá coffee house is a love affair. By chance, I first met the São Paulo branch (from Ibirapuera park), and then visit one here in Rio.

    The guys’ coffee is surreal. Promise, it’s a delight! The expresso is perfect, with an intense aroma and not bitter in the mouth. The first time I took it I asked for one more!

    The american coffee is also good and cakes, cookies and other snacks like sandwiches and omelets are served throughout the day.
